Oh, i wish I am only a child and a piece of toy would make me happy this Christmas, but no, grown ups wants more than just a good dinner and company. I dont know about you but I wanted lots of different things this Christmas. Hmmm, like, a new tv set, piece of new jewelry, handbag, shoes, even a new set of bedding. Hey, its Christmas, and its my blog so im free to say whatever i say here, lol. Ok, those are all material things, which we can buy, if we have money right? But have you thought about wishes this Christmas that you can't buy? Say, like, peace on earth? Cliche isnt it? But who would'nt want to wish that? I mean, come on, we see wars everywhere. We're always fighting and its unstoppable. And that has to stop. Not tomorrow but NOW.
I remember when i was small. We used to have a bamboo bank and our mom will let us break it before Christmas so we can buy whatever we wanted. I wasnt and still am not so thrifty so i always end up with something that isnt really nice..well, ok, i always have like candy or something to eat out from what i saved. I wasnt really so fond of toys even before so i didnt care so much about toys unlike my siblings. When you are just a child, you dont think about wishing for happiness in the family or peace on earth and all that grown ups were wishing. Now, that im no longer a child, i kinda think of much deeper thoughts and wished not just for myself but to everybody else. But of course, i mentioned before, jewelry, bags and shoes are still part of those wishes, lol.
So now, im thinking to my self, what could be the best Christmas wish or gift i could give to my loved ones? Maybe just being there for them? Well, im so far away from my family but at least i talked to them almost everyday. Or maybe, send them cards? Well, thats one "obligatory" things you do during the holidays anyway. Maybe, wished them all good health and good life? But will they appreciate it? I mean, holidays, as i've noticed is about giving and accepting gifts..material gifts, that is. Try not to give gifts this Christmas and just accept ang everybody will be all over you. trust me, you wont get anything next year and you will be a talk of the family, lol.
Bottom line, its really hard to find, if you can, the best christmas gift. I guess we just have to follow the rules.. you receive so you give back. If you dont, then dont expect anything. And that is so simple.
